Our store runs on Shopify, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant—the highest security standard for payment processing. Shopify’s certification covers all six PCI categories, including maintaining a secure network and protecting cardholder data. 

 

Compliance extends automatically to every Shopify‑powered store, so you can shop confidently knowing that both your payment details and our business data are safeguarded.

How Payments Are Processed

When you pay online, your transaction is processed through our trusted partners and never handled directly on our servers:

 

Shopify Payments/Shop Pay – Our checkout is hosted by Shopify. Shopify encrypts your information in transit using SSL/TLS and is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. Shop Pay (Shopify’s accelerated checkout) lets you save your details for even faster, secure checkouts.

 

PayPal – If you select PayPal at checkout, the payment form is delivered by PayPal and your card details are sent directly to PayPal’s systems. We never see your full card number or CVV. 

 

Eligible purchases may be covered by PayPal’s Buyer Protection programme, which can reimburse you for the full purchase price and original shipping if you don’t receive your item or it’s significantly not as described.

 

Klarna – Klarna uses high security standards to protect your data; all payment information is processed securely, no details are transferred to or held by us, and all transactions occur over secured connections. Klarna may offer Pay in 3 or Pay Later options where available.

 

Digital wallets – We accept Apple Pay and Google Pay. These wallets tokenise your card number and use device‑specific numbers so your real card details aren’t shared during checkout.

✅ We store your order details—such as what you purchased, your contact information and shipping address—so we can fulfil your order and provide customer support.

 

❌ We do not store your full card number or security code (CVV). Payment data is processed by the secure payment gateways listed above.

Payment Options We Accept

At checkout you’ll see a range of payment methods. Availability depends on your device and eligibility. We currently accept:

 

Credit and debit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Diners Club, Discover and Union Pay.

 

PayPal – Pay using your PayPal balance or a card saved in your PayPal account. PayPal may offer Pay in 3 or Pay Later options, subject to eligibility. For peace of mind, PayPal’s Buyer Protection programme may reimburse you for the full purchase price and original shipping costs when something goes wrong.

 

Shop Pay – Shopify’s accelerated checkout. Your information is encrypted and stored securely by Shopify.

 

Apple Pay & Google Pay – Use your saved cards through Apple or Google. These wallets use tokenisation so your actual card details are not shared.

 

Klarna – Choose Pay in 3, Pay Later or other flexible options. Klarna processes your payment securely and does not transfer your card details to our store.

 

Other methods – Depending on your location or device, additional local payment options (for example, Shop Pay or other alternative methods) may appear at checkout.

Tips For Staying Safe

Check the address bar – Always ensure you’re on capitallettersigns.co.uk and that your browser shows the padlock icon (HTTPS) before entering payment details.

 

Beware of phishing – We will never ask you to share card details via email, social media or over the phone. If you receive a suspicious request, contact us directly.
